Coronary Angiography - Sign off change

Hi All,

We've just received an update from from GMC / HEE ref: Angiography skills;

Cardiology: to allow trainees to complete training with cardiac catheterisation skills at Level 2 (able to perform the procedure with limited supervision), except where they will be taking the PCI special interest module. The current (2016) curriculum requires all trainees to develop this skill to Level 3 (competent to perform the procedure unsupervised)

For those people on the old curriculum (2016), it has been agreed by the GMC that (apart from those people doing the advanced PCI module), Level 2 signoff in cardiac catheterisation is sufficient for CCT

Good news and common sense, hope that helps lots of trainees.
