AHCD training day sign up and Hampshire Heart Failure meeting

Dear all

I now have details of how to sign up for the next ACHD training day which is on the 22nd of March in the Heartbeat Lecture Theatre at UHS. They will be covering AVSD and Ebstein's, click here for the full program. Email Dr Sharpe to sign up, there will be a small charge of £10 on the day.

Also Hayley (Servier) has given me details about the next Hampshire Heart failure Meeting on the 22nd of January in Winchester at The Forte Kitchen. It will start at 1900 and the topic is stable coronary artery disease/peripheral artery disease, 2018 NICE HF guidelines. If you would like to go to this event please contact Hayley. Please note that this is not a training day and should not be confused with the South Coast Heart Failure meeting which is a training day and was part of the last blog post...

Hope you all enjoy your last few weeks before rotation

Upcoming training days and EP research at UHS

Dear all

Just a quick reminder to book your study leave and sign up for some upcoming training days:

  • Cardiac CT 15th Feb - email Hannah to sign up - please note this course is open to all UK trainees and there is a limit to the number of trainees that can attend. It should be a fantastic training day
  • We now have a confirmed date for the South Coast Heart Failure Meeting (19/3/2019) which is one of the training days, as always this is an excellent day and fills up quickly - click here for the application form
  • The next ACHD day is on the 22nd of March - I will let you know how to sign up when we get these details
  • Keep an eye on the training day section of the blog as we will keep updating this

Dr Ullah has now advertised his EP research post at Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity and comes with both funding and ethics already completed. If you are interested see the NHS jobs website - reference 118-MT977-MEDICAL.

I'm sure you all missed us....the blog has temporarily been corrupted - hopefully this will now work - if so you'll get lots of updates soon!
