Wessex Cardiology Trainees

Evening event in January

Dear all

Just a quick message to let everyone know about our first evening event of 2019. We are going to run an evening on how to pass the EEGC. John Paisey, who is involved in the question setting for the exam will be coming along to share some tips and EEGC style questions. It is on the 7th of January at Mango in Southampton (Portswood). Bayer are sponsoring the event. If you would like to sign up please email me.

Look forward to seeing lots of you at the cases evening next week (we are full but if you'd like to be put on a last minute waiting list to come if someone pulls out, please email Simon)

EP research opportunity, Level 2 cardiac CT course & cases evening

Dear all

Just a few quick updates:

  • Research Fellow in Electrophysiology, University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust : University Hospital Southampton are looking for an EP Research Fellow to join their Cardiac Rhythm Management Research Team. The post is fully funded for two years (industry funding secured) and would suit an enthusiastic individual with an interest in electrophysiology, cardiac ablation or electroanatomical mapping. Full ethical approval has already been obtained for original research studies in both VT and AF ablation and the post would be suitable for somebody hoping to complete a University Doctorate. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact Dr Waqas Ullah, Consultant Electrophysiologist by e-mail:waqas.ullah@uhs.nhs.uk

  • Cardiac CT level 2 course in Dublin: This course has been highlighted to us - a level 2 cardiac CT course at a fraction of the usual cost - click here for further info

  • The next evening event is fast approaching - 27th of November in Winchester. An opportunity for us all to share interesting cases over dinner and potentially win a prize. If you would like to come please email Simon with a one line case summary.
