Wessex Cardiology Trainees

Surveys & May Training Day

Dear All,

Apologies for the lack of recent activity on the blog, and also for now posting several things at once.

Firstly, I have not had any word on details for a training day for April and so it seems unlikely to be happening.

Secondly, please can I ask everyone to book their study leave for the May training day on the 17th. Please can everyone who intends to attend e-mail Dr Benoy Shah ASAP - otherwise there is a danger that the day will be cancelled due to a lack of interest expressed so far.

Thirdly, please note that the GMC survey opened today. Filling this out is an ARCP requirement and it's probably best to get it done sooner, rather than later so you can then forget about it - log in to MyGMC to complete it.

Finally, whilst you are in the survey completing mood, can I also ask that you make an effort to fill out the BJCA Survey - this is really useful for gauging the state of cardiology training nationally and seeing how things in Wessex compare with the rest of the country. If anyone has any specific comments or concerns, particularly regarding the latest curriculum updates, could they please e-mail me with them so that I can forward them on to the SAC.

Good to see many of you at the South Coast Heart Failure Day.

Happy Easter.
