Wessex Cardiology Trainees

British Junior Cardiologists Association Survey

You should have recently received an invitation to complete the 2012 BJCA survey of trainees. Many of you will already have completed this and appreciate the benefits of feeding back this kind of information to a trainee organisation with influence at a national level.

Nationally, the response rate has been below 30%, and although typical for professional surveys, the BJCA council are keen to see responses from at least 50% of the 800 trainee members. The BJCA is a made up of people like you who are local deanery trainees, but more importantly, consultants of tomorrow. There are many pressing issues that affect our future, whether it be sub-consultant grades, shift working or workforce planning.

David Holdsworth, the BJCA secretary and trainee from Oxford, aims to present the findings at the trainees session at the BCS conference. Previous surveys have given weight to discussion with the BCS and SAC.

Please have a look in your inbox for the email invitation that was sent a couple of weeks ago. If there are technical difficulties or the link was never received, please let me know by reply and I will pass on your concerns.

Best wishes,

James
