No previous experience is needed. You will receive a credit on the website, and an immense feeling of self worth...

Please

UK Cardiac Pathology Annual Training Day

Patrick Gallagher
, Reader in Pathology and Consultant Cardiovascular Pathologist at Southampton, has bought the following event to our attention. It's free to trainees and looks like a comprehensive day. Apparently, the guest speaker, Prof Cristina Basso of the University of Padua, Italy, is a fantastic presenter and her video is of the highest quality.

The programme can be downloaded here. Further information is available on the UKCPN website.

'Commissioning and winning bids and tenders' - delivered by Scott McKenzie Consultancy May 5, 2010

Dear All,

Please find attached details of the forthcoming training day at Portsmouth 5th May 2010. I am sure you will agree that this is extremely interesting and valuable.

Due to the need for interaction during the day it is limited to 15 places. This is usually just above the number of trainees generally attending our meetings.

Krupa Patel of Astra Zeneca is sponsoring the event, which is scheduled to begin at 9.30 with coffee. It will take place in the Education Centre, Level E,
Queen Alexandra Hospital, Southwick Hill Road, Cosham, Portsmouth PO6 3LY.

Please could you email Krupa Patel by return if you would like to attend. Please do not register but then not attend (expensive to put this on).

In the event of > 15 people being interested then it will be decided according to who registered first.

Thanks

Paul Kalra

Regional Cardiology Training Day in Adult Congenital Heart Disease - Wednesday April 28th

Dear SpRs,

We hope that you will be able to join us for an interesting and interactive training day (click here to download the programme).

We have provisionally planned some time for a case from each hospital. This can take any format you wish, from a discussion of a clinical dilemma to some interesting echo clips that you might like to share, to a powerpoint presentation. The idea is to generate discussion and to learn from the combined experience in the Region. We would like to make it as informal as possible. Please feel free to give me a call to discuss/confirm cases.

This is a good opportunity to add a "Regional Network Training Day Presentation" to the CV!!

Please email me to confirm your attendance so we can plan a good lunch!

Looking forward to seeing you all in Southampton for a lively day.

Regards,

Aisling, Tony and Gruschen.
